What Is Dallas Council Hiding In their Frenzy Over Confederate Monuments?

Last September the Dallas City Council quickly removed the Robert E. Lee statue, a magnificent bronze equestrian sculpture, and now they want to bulldoze the Confederate War Memorial located in Pioneer Park Cemetery. They plan to erect a lynching memorial, explaining they want to forget the past and bring racial harmony to Dallas. Yet they provide fake details about the lynching.

Johnny Can’t Read: Blame Government Schools

Despite billions of dollars being dumped into government schools, nearly 50 percent of Americans can barely read while some cannot read at all.  

According to the Department of Justice, “The link between academic failure and delinquency, violence, and crime is welded to reading failure.” The statistics back up this claim: 85 percent of all juveniles who interface with the juvenile court system are functionally illiterate, and over 60 percent of inmates in America’s prisons cannot read above a fourth grade level. Two-thirds of students who cannot read proficiently by the end of the fourth grade will end up in jail or on welfare.

The fix was already in even before the Dallas City Council heard our public testimony on September 6.  Prior to the meeting, cranes had been dispatched to the statute to remove the statute of Robert E. Lee.

The progressive socialist left wants to erase all history relating to the Civil War and the Confederacy.  They absolutely do not want America to know it was Southern Democrats who supported slavery and were behind Jim Crow, the Ku Klux Klan, literacy tests and poll taxes. They do not want America to know they opposed the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.
