The Feds Begin Takeover of Private Enterprise & Workers

By Carole Hornsby Haynes, Ph.D. August 2, 2018

The federal government is poking its nose into filling blue-collar jobs for private businesses by training workers. Yet it has no constitutional authority for involvement in the private sector -- either by planning the economy or training the workforce.

Recently President Trump signed an executive order to create the National Council for the American Worker.  The Council will develop strategies for a public private partnership to train youths and adults by employers, educational institutions, labor unions, other non-profit organizations, and local and state governments.

Since the passage of the 1965 Elementary and Secondary Education Act that was limited to helping disadvantaged students, the feds have now taken over education at all levels. No such thing as just a little help from the feds.

Citizens beware:  this is the beginning of a federal takeover of private businesses and workers.

The policy calls for consistency in implementation of the program with government and private businesses and workers.  Obviously the feds will take that lead.

The policy also calls for data mining and wide sharing of information.

“The Council shall also propose ways to increase access to available job data, including data on industries and geographic locations with the greatest number of open jobs and projected future opportunities…”

Since the feds never ever have enough information on citizens, we can be certain that personal information on workers will get included in this data mining/sharing mandate.

Our Fourth Amendment right to privacy has been completely shredded by the constant data mining through educational testing and surveys, nosy internet and social media companies, facial scans, and left wing teachers requiring students to submit DNA dossiers for public posting in the classroom.

Bills that have been filed in Congress are designed to create a national database (S.1121 – HR. 2434). The House has already rammed through another bill -- Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act (H.R. 4174) -- that also opens the door to a national database.

Let's thank our Republican lawmakers for cramming this through.  They lied about its purpose and claimed they didn't know there was wide public opposition -- despite 18 months of public testimony and thousands of letters!!

For sure, any job data scooped up will be merged with data on individuals in a national database.  This is a liberal’s wildest dream come true -- government surveillance of citizens from cradle to grave!

America was founded as a free enterprise society. Now left wing radicals are turning us into a federally planned and controlled economy that surveils and tracks its citizens.  The good ole' USA is looking more like Venezuela and China everyday.
