A federal district judge has ruled that at least four Islamic schools in Texas are eligible to receive tax payer funding with dozens of others waiting to join, according to media reports. At the February meeting of the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE), Shaimaa Zayan, Operations Manager of the Austin office of Council on Islamic Relations (CAIR) went to the microphone to make public comments about revisions to the social studies curriculum standards which are under review.
