Republican Lamar Alexander’s “Student Success Act” (H.R. 5) extends 'No Child Left Behind' until 2021

The House votes on Tuesday, February 24.
Call your Congressman NOW and say STOP H.R. 5  http://www.house.gov/find/representatives/ 

H.R. 5/Student Success Act (reauthorizes NCLB):

  • States federal footprint is being reduced yet bill is nearly 600 pages in length  
  • Maintains testing mandates
  • Consolidates more than 65 existing elementary and secondary education programs instead of eliminating them
  • Ties student to ObamaCare and its mental health mandates
  • Supports State Longitudinal Database System (SLDS) - data mining  
American education is no longer about acquiring knowledge but rather changing student beliefs, behavior, attitudes, and view as world citizen rather than American citizen.
