Texas Bills To Ban Critical Race Theory in Public

House Bill 4093 to purge critical race theory from public schools has been filed filed by Texas Republican State Rep. James White with a companion bill, House Bill 3979, filed by Republican State Rep. Steve Toth.
Although CRT is not specifically mentioned in the bills, its critical elements are prohibited from being taught in Texas public schools. If passed, the bill will make it illegal
to teach racial or sex discrimination, that a person is guilty for the past actions of others of the same race or sex, or that being of a certain race or sex makes one inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive.
for state agencies, school districts, teachers, and administrators to accept private funding for curriculum development, purchase of instructional materials, or staff training. This would include Equitable Math training courses funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which deems it racist for students to be required to show their work or get the correct answer.
"Action Civics" in Illinois public schools accepts private funding from the far left Robert R. McCormick Foundation for curricular materials and teacher training seminar. McCormick has used his wealth to take de facto control of the Illinois civics curriculum in the same way the Gates Foundation took de facto control of reading and math through Common Core.
to show favoritism toward a perspective if discussing current events that include “controversial issue of public policy or social affairs”
to give student credit for participating in community organizing (“Action Civics”)
The bill also proposes to amend the Texas state law to require civics and social studies teachers to teach
“the fundamental moral, political, and intellectual foundations of the American experiment in self government.”
the founding documents of the United States, including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, specific Federalist Papers, Alexis de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America, the first Lincoln-Douglas debate,and the writings of the Founding Fathers.
Other problematic bills that must be killed include these:
- HB 445 – to the required teaching of positive character traits, add “the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion”
HB 4111 – Each ISD must hire “diversity, equity, and inclusion” officer.
Supporting HB 4093/HB 3979’s proposal to teach the founding documents, House Bill 1776 has been filed by Texas State Rep. Keith Bell with companion Senate Bill 1776 by Senator Donna Campbell. The bill includes an elective course on the founding principles of the United States in public high schools and the posting of the founding documents of the United States in public school buildings. There is a public hearing on April 6.
Texas joins other Republican states in pushing back against Critical Race Theory including Florida, New Hampshire, West Virginia, Iowa, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
An offshoot of German Marxist Critical Theory, Critical Race Theory became entrenched in law schools and then spread to government, schools systems, the corporate world, and now even to evangelical churches exploring the “racism” in their congregations. CRT redefines human history through the lens of race with a power struggle between the oppressor and the oppressed. The oppressor is white, heterosexual Christians who are being actively segregated by the radical left.
While the Marxist struggle is a class struggle, the new social Marxism is intersectionality with relationships among races, genders, ethnicities, religions, and a host of other “identity groups.” Taxpayer money is being spent on these programs in public schools throughout the nation.
Instead of a revolution that overthrows the ruling class (the bourgeoisie or capitalist class), intersectionality calls for the eradication of the the ‘privilege’ of the oppressor identity group.
Critical Race Theory calls for the destruction of institutions, history, culture, the free-market economy, and orthodox religions. They will be replaced with CRT compliant institutions.
