Thousands of New Turning Point USA Chapters Will Bring More Assassinations, Violence in Our Cities

In a recent speech at the Oxford Union, Charlie Kirk told the audience, “You should be allowed to say outrageous things. You should be allowed to say contrarian things.” This idea of free speech attracted thousands of college students to hear his campus debates. At the time of his death, Kirk had established about 1,200 Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapters in high schools and 900 on college campuses. Since his assassination in Utah on September 10, there have been more than 120,000 requests for new chapters. 

In Oklahoma, state school superintendent Ryan Walters announced a partnershp with Turning Point

USA to put chapters at every high school in the state through the organization’s “Club America” program, which promotes “everyday activism.” 

In a video posted on his X account Walters said, “Radical leftist teachers’ unions have dominated classrooms for far too long, and we are taking them back.” 

He added, "For far too long, we have seen radical leftists with the teachers unions dominate classrooms and push woke indoctrination on our kids. They fight parents’ rights. They push parents out of the classroom, and they lie to our kids about American history. What we’re going to continue to do is make sure our kids understand American greatness, engage in civic dialogue and have that open discussion. We will continue to do all that we can to make sure Oklahoma students have the best education possible." 

Walters continued, “We have seen the outpouring from parents, teachers and students that want to be engaged with the meaningful work going on at Turning Point. They want their young people to be engaged in a process that understands free speech, open engagement, dialogue about American greatness, a dialogue around American values." 

The response in Oklahoma mirrors the reaction across the nation. Thousands of students are showing up at campuses across America to honor Charlie Kirk and to get involved. His martydom has triggered an unprecedented national and even international shift toward a religious revival among our youth and adults, with many attending church for the first time. 

Finally, the Sleeping Giant has awakened and the American people are rising up against the tyranny the radical left has waged on us and our institutions for decades in a Marxist cultural revolution. 

Yet there is cause for great concern about the left’s violent backlash that is already underway. 

Since the 1960s and 1970s, campus communists have viewed the university as their turf. They have been fought TPUSA chapters on campus with vigils and protests. For years, they have shut down meetings with conservative speakers whose lives they often have placed in great jeopardy. With the vast majority of professors and administrators, and even students, trending to the far left, university presidents have failed to address this violation of civil rights. 

With the real possibility of a TPUSA chapter being established on every college campus, radicals will not willingly give up their campus turf. There will be violence and chaos – and even assassinations -- like never seen before. 

At the high school level, there is leftist resistance. Tulsa Public Schools' 5th District Board Member, John Croisant, vowed that Tulsa Public Schools will not be participating. 

Leftists are babbling about ideology being forced on children by the lessons learned through TPUSA chapters. Criticizing Walters on CNN, former DNC spokesperson Xochitl Hinojosa said, “I do not think that we should be forcing ideology on our children, especially in public schools." 

In an interview on "The Story with Martha MacCallum," Walters called Hinojosa’s comments "laughable." He said,"These are the people that forced ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ on your kids. They force critical race theory on your kids. They force the most radical woke agenda in the country on your kids. The teachers unions and the Democratic Party did that." 

He added, “The unions and the Democrats cry foul. You have to be kidding me with this. We have never seen a Marxist ideology pushed on this like that party has for the last decade." 

Indeed, Hinojosa’s comments about forcing TPUSA ideology on students are laughable. Walters recently announced that any applicants from California and New York who want to teach in Oklahoma must pass a test administered by Praeger U before receiving state certification. The hypocritical left flies into a hysterical rage if conservatives stand up for our founding values and refuse to allow teachers to indoctrinate students in leftist ideology. They have denounced the Oklahoma exam as a “MAGA loyalty test.” 

Yet tying teacher certification to the teaching of ideology is a page from the left’s own playbook. Illinois law requires that teachers must teach action civics to maintain their license. “Action Civics,” which is disguised as American civics, uses the public classroom for community organizing and recruiting a Marxist student army and actively discriminating against white heterosexual Christians. 

Now that the American people are using the left’s playbook against them, the radicals are in deep panic mode. As they come face to face with a newly energized American people in trying to block TPUSA chapters, it is likely there will be more assassinations and the sight of domestic terrorists storming and burning down our cities.
