Earth Day: Pagan Worship With Leftwing Ideology
By Carole Hornsby Haynes, Ph.D. April 22, 2020
A week of earth worship has been in play around the world, celebrated even by religious communities who supposedly are dedicated to the worship of the “one true God.” Is it a coincidence that Earth Day is celebrated on the birthday of Vladimir Lenin instead of March 21, the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere?
Environmental groups use Earth Day as a cover for their agenda to change human behavior and drive policy changes. They pushed through the draconian Paris Agreement of 2016 within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change – an agreement which had devastating economic and personal freedom consequences for the United States. President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the agreement in 2017.
Claiming to be education about the environment – and climate change – Earth Day is deeply rooted in godless socialism with pure Marxism at the core of the Environmental Movement.
The first Earth Day celebration was 50 years ago on April 22, 1970 as a day of education about environmental protection. Earth Day has now expanded into Earth Week and celebrated globally with festivals, concerts, rallies, and even Earth Day worship services.
Earth Day is worship of the earth and a goddess earth mother, a religion as old as the earth itself and known in the past as “Paganism.” For those who charge that I’m a conspiracy theorist, check out the World Pantheism website.
“Is Nature the focus of your deepest spiritual feelings? Are you looking for a spirituality or religion that focuses on Nature, on saving the Earth, on preserving its habitats and species?”
“A Religion of Nature, Earth, Gaia”
“World Pantheism is probably the most clearly earth-focused of spiritual/religious organizations. Nature is the very heart of our spirituality….”
‘This sacred Earth is our ark and all the plants and animals that live in it are our fellow passengers.”
“World Pantheism focuses on this Earth rather than an imaginary realm, on this life rather than an uncertain afterlife.”
The church of Paganism is preaching the gospel of Climate Change and Sustainability. Married with paganism, the Environmental Movement has become the new religion. Besides bringing international attention to saving Mother Earth from people and their destructive actions, Earth Day also created an excuse to increase the size and scope of government. In 1970 President Richard Nixon created the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to monitor and safeguard the health of the nation's air and water. The Endangered Species Act of 1973 was designed to protect the animals of the ark.
Public education is no longer about academic learning but rather social and political change. Students are taught environmentalism laced with far left ideology. They are being frightened out of their wits with pictures of polar bears supposedly “drowning” in the sea because of climate change. Never are students told that polar bears like to swim and play in the ocean. Never are they told that the polar bear population is increasing – not decreasing.
They are not told that, instead of protecting the “animals of the arc,” building of the Ivanpah solar farm resulted in the deaths of hundreds of old desert tortoises.
Students’ heads are filled with socialist propaganda that green energy will end dependence on fossil fuels. They are given no factual data about the exorbitant cost and extreme inefficiency of green energy at this point in time.
Students aren’t told that climate activist Al Gore had no environmental qualms with accepting $100 million in fossil fuel money for the sale of his co-owned Current TV to Al Jazeera, which is funded by Qatar, a gas exporting Middle East nation with the “largest per capita carbon footprint in the world.”
Teaching truth would not accomplish the Left’s purpose to use propaganda to create young socialists for the United Nations’ New World Order where the power elite will controlling the world and transfer the wealth of rich nations like the United States.
If you think that is a conspiracy theory, then note in 1969 the United Nations signed a proclamation to honor the Earth and the concept of peace on March 21, 1970. A month later, Democrat Senator Gaylord Nelson proposed the idea that a nationwide environmental teach-in should be held in the U.S. on April 22. He hired a young activist, Denis Hayes, to be the National Coordinator. Nelson and Hayes renamed the event “Earth Day.”
“Planet of the Humans,” the new documentary about climate change produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore and written and directed by Jeff Gibbs, was released Tuesday for free on YouTube. The documentary shows the dishonesty of environmental activists. Forbes noted,
“After Earth Day Founder Denis Hayes claims at a 2015 Earth Day concert that the event was being powered by solar, Gibbs goes behind the stage to find out the truth. “The concert is run by a diesel generation system,” the solar vendor said. “That right there could run a toaster,” said another vendor.”
It’s time for Americans – and Christians – to wake up and understand what Earth Day is really about. It’s time for schools to kick Earth Day out of their curricula and for Americans to end their national celebration of paganism.
