Universal Background Checks Are ALL About Gun Confiscation, Lt. Gov. Patrick

To appease Democrats demands over the last mass shooting in Texas, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick has proposed Obama-era legislation requiring background checks for private gun sales. Trying to calm outraged gun rights activists, he claims, “This is NOT a ban on private gun sales and this change in the law will NOT lead to a gun registry.”

The Perfect Solution To End Gun Violence In Texas

Following a second Texas shooting in the past month, Governor Greg Abbott is caving to Democrats who want to disarm law-abiding citizens under the pretense of “stopping the violence.” Fellow Texans, that would leave us as sitting ducks anytime nut jobs want to go on a wild killing spree. There is a far better solution – arm ourselves -- because gunmen never, ever are dumb enough to walk into a place where people are armed.

Texas Gov. Abbott's "Safety Commission On Gun Control and Mental Health"Ignores Gun Rights Supporters

Following the El Paso mass shooting, the radical Left began their frenzied drumbeat for gun control and red flag laws with the sole purpose of disarming Texans. In response, Governor Greg Abbott announced his "Domestic Terrorism Task Force to combat hateful acts of extremism in Texas."
The first roundtable was August 22, with a second one scheduled for August 29. The list of attendees posted included mostly elected officials, people from government agencies, and representatives from organizations such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter.

Background Checks; Defining ‘Assault’ Weapons

Following the Texas and Ohio mass murders by crazed gunmen, Democrats have gone on their usual mentally deranged rampage, demanding universal background checks, a ban on certain weapons, and red flag laws which they claim will “end gun violence.” President Trump stated that he thinks background checks are important to keep guns out of the hands of mentally unstable people or people with rage.
