Islamists, Marxists, Texas SBOE Have Revised Our History

Critical Race Theory Embedded in Social Studies TEKS

And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”  George Orwell 1984 

Social media is abuzz with news about the demands of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), that the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) revise the Social Studies TEKS that are currently under review. Their demands for the Social Studies curriculum?

Claim that 1/3 of ALL American slaves were Muslims enslaved and killed because of their Islamic faith;

• Claim that the Alamo was influenced by Islamic architecture and built as a tribute to Islam;
• Include Muslims who contributed to the founding of America and Texas;
• Erase the Mayflower Compact;
• Erase Christopher Columbus and Columbus Day.
• Erase Thanksgiving and George Washington’s 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation and prayer.

Why are Muslims so bold as to think the American people will allow this? Because they, with a coalition, have already been successful in revising our history and erasing our memory of our past. 

Background 

There has been a scheme to change America from a Constitutional Republic to a secular, centralized government for more than two centuries. Even as our Constitution was being drafted, there was a battle between those who wanted a limited government and those who wanted a strong central government. Socialists who wanted to replace Christianity with secularism were instrumental in establishing public education in the 1830s for government control over what children learn and think. 

Following the failed socialist revolts in Europe, German socialist revolutionaries fled to the United States in 1848 and settled in the larger, more urban areas of the North. Anti-religion and anti-Christian, they entered a society that was predominantly Christian with limited government. These revolutionaries opposed small, limited government with separation of powers while favoring big, central government. 

Like most socialists and communists, they wanted to remake society to conform to their utopian vision. So they joined the new Republican Party that favored a strong central government, protective tariffs, and taxpayer funded internal improvements for the North. The Christian, small government, anti-tariff South stood in the way of their plans. 

Red: Marxist Revolutionaries 

In 1923, Jewish Marxists founded the Institute for Research in Germany to research and analyze why a workers’ revolution had failed in Germany. They believed that, if the Western Christian culture were collapsed, they could start a revolution. Once Hitler rose to power, these Jewish intellectuals had to flee Germany. They found temporary refuge at Columbia University where they began to infiltrate education, religion, labor, and entertainment.

Marxists tried to stir up a revolution again in the 1960s in America but failed there also. They went from the streets to the university and began publishing in the humanities, social sciences, and teacher education. 

In the 1980s and 1990s, Marxist Critical Race Theory spread from the university to the media, federal agencies, and public education. Instead of a workers class conflict, the revolutionary left (Red) found a new change agent in the ghetto population and the black movement. Racial minorities became the “oppressed” and whites became the “oppressors.” A cultural revolution would be based on race and slavery. 

Green: Political Islam 

Political Islam (Green) flies under a false flag of religion that disguises their real goal of subjugating the world under barbaric Sharia (Islamic law). The prime target is Christians and Jews. Their sights are set on converting America into an Islamic caliphate under Sharia.  

To subjugate a nation, Muslims quietly enter and begin to infiltrate the courts, education, art museums, political offices, churches, and other major institutions where they can influence policy and gradually introduce Sharia.  

Since the mid-1970s there has been a steady infusion of Arab petro-dollars into American education, beginning with colleges in the mid-1970s and K-12 in the 1990s. The goal? Convert students to Islam to change public opinion toward the ideology and influence U.S. policy toward Israel. 

Red-Green Alliance 

Though both socialist revolutionaries (Red) and political Islamists (Green) are traveling the same road, they have different end goals. But they share a common enemy – the United States – and common ground in anti-capitalist, anti-globalization, and anti-Western sentiments. They also share a common strategy for accomplishing their long term goal of taking down America – infiltrate every institution to undermine American culture and erase all memory of our past. 

1991 Brotherhood Scheme to Take Down America 

In 1991 the Muslim Brotherhood laid out plans for the future of the United States as an Islamic caliphate. The strategic plan was laid out in “An Explanatory Memorandum: On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” by Mohammed Akram, a member of the Board of Directors for the Muslim Brotherhood in North America and senior Hamas leader. 

Their strategy? Civilization jihad to destroy Western civilization from within and make Islam "victorious over all other religions." 

The general strategic goal was "Enablement of Islam in North America, meaning: establishing an effective and a stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood which adopts Muslims' causes domestically and globally, and which works to expand the observant Muslim base, aims at unifying and directing Muslims' efforts, presents Islam as a civilization alternative, and supports the global Islamic State wherever it is." 

This strategic plan to seize control of the United States flew under the radar until August of 2004.

A Maryland Transportation Authority Police officer observed a woman, wearing traditional Islamic garb, videotaping the support structures of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The officer conducted a traffic stop and detained her driver on an outstanding material witness warrant. In searching the driver’s home, the FBI found a sub-basement with more than 80 banker boxes of the archives of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America. 

The Brotherhood’s “Explanatory Memorandum” was found in the banker boxes in the sub-basement. 

1991 NAACP War on Southern Confederacy 

In 1991, the Marxist war on culture reached a new level with a resolution introduced by the leftist NAACP at its national convention. Marxists demanded that all Confederate Battle Flags be removed “from all public properties” because they were the “ugly symbol of idiotic white supremacy racism and denigration.” 

“NAACP Resolution Abhorring the Confederate Battle Flag”

Whereas, the tyrannical evil symbolized in the Confederate Battle Flag is an abhorrence to all Americans and decent people of this country, and indeed, the world and is an odious blight upon the universe; and,

Whereas, African-Americans, had no voice, no consultation, no concurrence, no commonality, not in fact nor in philosophy, in the vile conception of the Confederate Battle Flag or State Flags containing the ugly symbol of idiotic white supremacy racism and denigration; and,

Whereas, we adamantly reject the notion that African-Americans should accept this flag for any stretch of imagination or approve its presence on the State Flags;

Now Therefore Be It Resolved, that the National Office of the NAACP and all units commit their legal resources to the removal of the Confederate Flag from all public properties. 

Since the North profited from slave trade to the South, Northern industry was built mostly from Southern funding, the federal government was funded primarily by the South, and, instead of freeing their slaves, Northerners sold them to the South as slavery was abolished in the North, why did the NAACP not target the North? Why would General Grant lead the Union army to end slavery when his own household owned slaves until the 13th Amendment was passed?  Why would millions of Southerners go to war just so 6% of Southerners could own slaves? 

1994 CAIR Founded 

In 1994 CAIR was founded as the proxy for the American Muslim Brotherhood which plotted to turn America into a caliphate. CAIR was directed to promote a “positive image of Islam and Muslims” and encourage Muslims to “participate in political and social activism.” Following the directive of the “Explanatory Memorandum” to build alliances with non-Muslim organizations, CAIR officials and board members would serve on other non-profit boards including the NAACP.

 1994 NAACP Formed Coalition with Nation of Islam 

In 1994 the NAACP wanted to become more relevant to younger generations and lower-income black communities. The executive director, Benjamin Chavis, formed coalitions with progressive leaders,including the Nation of Islam. He was forced to resign in 1994 for using NAACP funds to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit. In 1997 he joined the Nation of Islam and became a Muslim Imam, using the name Chavis Muhammad. 

1994 NAACP Called for Removal of Confederate Flag 

In 1994, Chavis launched the NAACP’s initiative that demanded the removal of the Confederate battle flag from South Carolina’s capitol dome. Chavis initiated a boycott of the state’s multi-billion dollar tourism industry to force the state to remove the Confederate battle flag under the guise it was a symbol of white supremacy. 

After a racially motivated mass shooting at Mother Emanuel Church in Charleston, South Carolina, the flag was permanently moved in 2015 to the state’s Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum in Columbia. 

2017 CAIR Called for Removal of Confederate Monuments 

In 2017, CAIR called for a nationwide removal of Confederate monuments to end America’s “racist past.” On August 9, 2017, CAIR condemned a rally planned for August 12 in Charlottesville, Virginia, to protest the announced removal of a statue honoring Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

 “The stated motivation for the racist rally is to defend a Confederate memorial, but the underlying theme is the promotion of a movement unifying White supremacists, neo-Nazis, the KKK, militia members, Islamophobes, anti-Semites, and every other group of un-American extremists.

It is particularly important that religious leaders of all faiths offer spiritual ”˜push-back’ against the rising level of hate nationwide. While Islam does not have a clergy, we urge Islamic religious leaders (imams) and community activists to join in the growing movement challenging hate and promoting mutual understanding.

The removal of the Confederate memorial in Charlottesville is just one small step in a larger effort to remove the vestiges of a racist past. We urge towns and cities nationwide to remove every statue and to change every name honoring those who betrayed and sought to divide America." 

Why did CAIR call only for removal of Confederate monuments? Since slavery existed in the North until after the war and monuments were erected in the North to Union soldiers, why did CAIR not call for push back against hatred in the North? Why CAIR not call for removal of Union monuments or changing of names. 

2017 Texas Followed CAIR’s Demand to Remove Confederate Statues 

Following the events in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017, Texas began removing Confederate monuments and memorials and changing the names of anything with a Confederate connection. 

One of the most protested Confederate removals was the bronze sculpture of Robert E. Lee on his horse Traveller that had been unveiled in 1936 in Dallas by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. On September 14, 2017, “Robert E. Lee and the Confederate Soldier” was removed and Lee Park was renamed Turtle Creek Park. In 2019, the stairs and base surrounding the former sculpture were removed. The scultupre was finally sold to a private investor and moved to a safe location on a large private golf course in Texas. 

In 2020, after years of protests and lawsuits, the massive 65-foot Confederate War Memorial in Pioneer Cemetery in near Turtle Creek in Dallas was removed and placed in archival storage.

Streets and schools with Confederate names have been renamed. 

2020-2021 CAIR Aligned with BLM, SPLC to Remove Confederate Statues 

Throughout 2020-2021 CAIR publicly stated its solidarity with the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement in removing Confederate statues across the South. BLM claimed the monuments glorified white supremacy, slavery, and the oppression of blacks. They did not make this claim for Union soldiers although slavery existed in the North until ratification of the 13th Amerndment. They did not call for removal of monuments for Union soldiers. 

In 2021, CAIR collaborated with the SPLC in challenging schools to change Confederate names and symbols. 

2018 Texas SBOE Aligned with CAIR, Marxists Over Slavery and Southern Confederacy 

The 2010 Social Studies TEKS required teachers to cover states' rights and sectionalism, along with slavery as a secondary factor, as issues connected with the War Between the States. Over the next few years, it became fashionable for governmental bodies to follow in lockstop with the Red-Green Alliance.

In November 2018, the SBOE officially approved slavery as a central cause of the Civil War rather than secondary to sectionalism or states’ rights. The revised curriculum was implemented in the 2019–2020 school year. 

Having been successful in creating a firestorm over Confederate monuments and a false narrative about the South and the Civil War, CAIR now is demanding major changes to the Texas social studies TEKS (discussed above). 

CAIR Erases State Observances 

CAIR has gone beyond destroying monuments to the erasing of our state observances. 

On April 22, 2025, CAIR’s National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper condemned Confederate Heritage Month and Confederate Memorial Day, “No state should celebrate the racist and white supremacist legacy of the Confederacy. The traitors to our nation who defended racism and slavery should be repudiated, not honored.”  

Now CAIR-Alabama is calling for the removal of Confederal Memorial Day, Robert E. Lee Day, and Jefferson Davis’ Birthday from the state holiday calendar. Feigning concern over individual rights, they believe that “public observances should reflect values of equality, inclusion, and justice rather than commemorate a legacy tied to slavery and racial oppression.”

By demanding that Confederate observances be banned, Islam is erasing our memory of Southern heritage and a time for honoring those who gave their lives defending their families and homes against a barbaric invading army.

If Muslims can erase Confederate observances they can erase other dates in American history.

CAIR Adds Islamic Holidays to State Calendars 

While political Islam tries to erase our holidays, they are manipulating states to add Islamic holidays to state holiday calendars. Washington has added two Muslim religious holidays to the state holiday calendar even though Muslims comprise only 1.58 percent of the state’s population. Christians are 51 percent of the total population and Jews are 1.3 percent, yet the only religious state holiday is Easter. 

In California, Democrats are trying to add two Muslim religious holidays to the state calendar. Muslims comprise a mere 1.3 percent of the population while Christians are 55 percent, Jews are 3.2 percent, the second largest in the United States, after New York. Epiphany, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur are all extremely important holidays in Christianity and Judaism, yet these are not recognized as state holidays in California. 

Islamists have Texas in their cross hairs for calendar changes. With spineless Republicans in the Texas legislature, we can expect to see Islamic holidays added to our state calendar.

2018 Texas SBOE Revised Social Studies TEKS About History of Civil War 

Before the targeting of Confederate monuments and Southern slavery while ignoring Northern slavery, the 2010 Texas social studies TEKS required teachers to cover states' rights and sectionalism, along with slavery as issues connected withthe War Between the States. With the Red-Green Alliance publicly denigrating and marginalizing the South and the Confederacy, the SBOE took a left turn with the Social Studies TEKS in November 2018. 

Slavery was officially approved as a central cause of the Civil War, ignoring largely the issues of states’ rights and the tariff that was borne mostly by the South but benefited mostly the North. The revised curriculum was implemented in the 2019–2020 school year. 

In approving slavery as the central cause of the Civil War, the SBOE revised American history so that it aligns with the Marxist Critical Race Theory of oppressed v. oppressor. 

Why did the SBOE ignore the Corwin Amendment that offered Constitutional protection for slavery yet was rejected by Southern states? The catch? In return for the protection of slavery, the seceded states had to return to the Union and pay the high tariff on imports that provided most of the funding for the federal government and Northern industrialization. Not one seceded state returned to the Union. Is this not conclusive evidence that slavery was not the central cause of the war? 

2026 Slavery and American Indians Dominate Texas Social Studies TEKS Under Review 

The social studies TEKS are under review again. There is an extraordinary amount of class time devoted to slavery and the American Indians with a clear bias against the South. Students will have little knowledge of our Founding Documents, American Exceptionalism, World Wars I and II, communism, and other important topics. Instead they are being trained as Marxist activists for the Cultural Revolution. 

Consequences of Curriculum Decisions by SBOE 

Because Texas has the second largest student population in the country, major publishers design educational materials to meet the Texas TEKS and then sell those in bulk to smaller states as nationally tailored textbooks to keep production costs down.

As a result, the ideological narratives, historical timelines, and vocabulary chosen for Texas classrooms will become the focal points for the cultural debates and ideological views of millions of American students across the nation. 

If the current Social Studies TEKS are adopted without revision, Texas will share responsibility for indoctrinating students across America as radical leftists who want to erase all traces of our country and our heritage.  Even worse, Texas will share responsibility for creating young jihadists who are promised their reward for serving Allah is heaven with 72 virgins.
