In 2021 our nation celebrated the 400th anniversary of the first Thanksgiving of the Pilgrims who had arrived on November 11, 1620 on the Mayflower with 102 passengers -- men, women and children. They came as families to set up a society of self government with freedom to practice their own religion without fear of persecution from the English government or its church. This brave community laid the foundations for the United States of America.

A historic counterrevolution in public education is occurring in Texas. In an 8-7 vote, with three Republican members voting no, the Texas State Board of Education approved a new reading/language arts curriculum that jettisons Marxist ideology and returns to the traditional model that was highly successful in educating our ancestsors and founders. Dubbed Bluebonnet Learning, the printed curriculum for grades K-5 is integrated with history, science, literature, art, culture, and religion as a foundational tool for history and literature.
If there is any question about how education would look under Democrats, look no further than vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, who made clear with his Marxist hijacking of Minnesota public education that his goal is to destroy America.
American public classrooms have become Marxist daycare centers filled with indoctrination, transgenderism, and racial divisiveness. Parents are demanding a return to the 3 Rs, American patriotism, respect, and moral character with teacher-centered classes and printed lessons.
